Little Angels from Central Christian Church

On a sunny and fine Sunday morning (13 June 2010), Oh' Farms welcomed two bus-load of 78 guests from the Central Christian Church.

Adults alike were learning how an ugly "duckling" (caterpillar) become a "swan" (adult butterfly) by going through the process of metamorphosis.

Our little "angels " were orderly seated outside the butterfly enclosure - Butterfly Lodge.




Can you see a larva (caterpillar) on the Blood Flower plant ? That is a Plain Tiger caterpillar.

This is Peacock Flower. Upon a close examination, you should be able to see some well-camouflaged larvae.

Hi, I am just as handsome as the butterflies....

Take a look here - see how engrossed these kids were.

Don't worry butterflies won't bite. But I must must handle it gently with great care.

See ... the butterfly landed safely on my fingers.. I am just as sweet as the flowers.... . The feeling is great !

Our quiz master asked some simple questions at the end of the trip - some fabulous prizes were up for grab.

The kids were really enthusiastic and there were so spontaneously putting up their hands to answer questions.
